Tervetuloa > In EnglishIn EnglishFolklore Suomi Finland was founded 1991. It is an umbrella organization for the 12 biggest folkdance and folk music organizations and festivals in Finland. It has been created to coordinate international relations of Finnish folklore. Folklore Suomi Finland is the National Section of CIOFF (International Council of Organisations for Folklore Festivals and Folk Art) and IOV (Internationale Organisation für Volkskunst). The main activities are to promote exchanges for the folkdance and folk music groups, serve the objectives of UNESCO, support the work of the member organizations to maintain cultural heritage and customs.
